oscommerce navigation header bar?

okay so i would like to add some hyperlinks in the oscommerce header bar below the oscommerce logo. How do i go about doing this? i have tried in the header php file and english php file but after several attempts its not working.... for example i want hyperlinks that come after the top and catalogue links in the header bar how do i do this?

try /templates/faalbak/mainpage.tpl.php replace fallback with the template you are using
