Default Advise Sought on a Shipping Rate Table

    Hi
I have located a low cost freight Co & they use a base rate plus a set rate per kg or Cubic kg (whichever is larger) plus a rate ($0.85 constant) over 5kg to a max 25kg as per below

Post code/group ????,????,???? has a Base rate of $11.50 up to & including 5kg then an additional 85cents per kg up to max 25kg

Post code/group ????,????,???? has a Base rate of $6.30 up to & including 5kg then an additional 85cents per kg up to max 25kg
    etc
Looking for advise on a possible solution for this type of rate table as it is all based on Post codes.
Am currently using toll zones but I have NO knowledge of how to implement the base rate into the table.
    Appreciated

Use a ZONE based shipping module and modify it to your requirements

If I use the zone shipping module I presume I need to setup zones under Location Country/zones
If I have 8 different Zones How do I setup the Post codes that are contained within the zone Areas
Some of these will need 1000+ post codes?
    Separate by Comma? 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006 - 2907 etc
    Or can I use ranges
    2000-2456,2467-2907.2910-2999 etc

    Thanks in advance

    ozewolf,

The Demo side has been offline for a while.

You could always download WAMP and run a copy of OSCMAX on your local machine ...

It is much easier for testing etc. than using a live server ...

(Or you could PM jpf and see if you can get a login + password)

    Hope this helps,

I muck with the demo often. Some times I brake parts of it - in this case the user/password was deleted.

If not one tells me - It don't get fixed..... I put the P/W back.

    Admin Demo back on line.
