    Copy the fallback/content/checkout_success.tpl.php to your own template directory (or which ever display you want it on.... Then add "order_id"

    IE:

    <php? echo $orders[order_id] ?>

    If I am correct.....

    Hoh sorry - did not notice you don't have osCMax.... Just plain oscommerce (which has no HTML templating features). You will have to figure out and modify the checkout_success.php file, then figure out where to put the order_id where you need it (keeping in mind the php and HTML are not interchangeable).
