New products module have a problem

When I upload new products onto website, I can see on first page 'New products for August',
this is OK for August 2008.

PROBLEM, can see new products August 2007, when click arrow to see more new products, can see products I put on website in August 2007.

I not want, because some products I put August 2007 finish. Now customer see and order, but I not have.

How to do it's work.

If you have not added very many items over a year - then it will show "new items" from a year or more ago. It displays X last added items. To LIMIT the amount of NEW items - chang in ADMIN interface under: Configuration - Maximum Values - New Products Module.


Default this the last 3 items....

or better yet, stop using new products and use featured products instead. This allows you to control the items that show up.
