No shipping methods displayed

I need a little direction on where to look. I have several shipping modules supposedly installed and activated with their settings, yet I cant get shipping to add to any order or even display the option in the checkout process..

Is there something i might be missing? I have added the contribution Per country per item... as well and that doesn't display either.

without weight on your products oscmax assumes your customer ordered a downloadable product. Add a weight or it can also be fixed in admin somewhere but to tired tonight to think if it is in config or shipping

I had been trying to use a per item shipping but I will try creating a test item with weight

Ok its displaying stuff now, going to play with it and post a followup seems my test item also didnt have a per item price plugged in it too

I dont get it..

So if there is nothing in weight then it automatically figures shipping is free?

I have over 400 items with No weight... do i have to edit them all?
Is there an easier way to do so other than 1 at a time????

looked under config, and found downloads section and changed its enabled status to false.. Now all items with 0 weight now add shipping..
