Default Html Code Problems x 2

I have two problems I need a hand with.

1. The affiliate banner code is not displaying correctly, below is a same of the code from the affiliate section. It will not display of course when added to a webpage.

<a href="DM Wears : Welcome to DM WEARS target="_blank"><img src="http://www.dmwears.com/affiliate_sho...ner_id=3" border="0" alt="DM WEARS STYLE"></a>

2. When I add html code to the define mainpage it gets striped or corrupted somehow. For example I added a small juke box in html code via the WYSIWYG (<> ) when I go to the regular view it looks great, as soon as I post it, it strips out a part of the code and makes the a broken image.

Any help would be great, did not see anything in the forums.

FIXED AFFILIATE BANNER PROBLEM
MAINPAGE HTML STILL A PROBLEM

Found a post that helped, code looks correct now.

"I solved it by commenting out both instances of the call to htmlspecialchars() in affiliate_banners.tpl.php. Now the affiliate link HTML appears un-escaped, so can immediately be cut-and-pasted into the affiliate's website code."
