Yes, partially. You can zero out the prices using that bug. Any bug present in osCommerce will be present in osCMax too. The fix is easy enough, and will be included in the next release.

Regarding the download issue, that is not present in osCMax, since osCMax uses the downloads controller.

Here is the specific fix for those of you who want to patch this now:

alter table currencies modify code char(3) binary not null default '';

Run that query against your database using phpmyadmin. It fixes the issue.
