home page; what should it be?

forget i asked! ive edited the entire post as i have now lost the plot...

you edit the index page in the admin panel....this is the only index page to use..ignore me im going mad, i had seen another index page somwhere and wondered which one i should use.... :s

you need to edit

/templates/(your template name)/main_page.tpl.php
