Default Two Bugs/Issues???

Following an uneventful install when I try to connect to the store I get the following the moment I connect to calalog/index.php: one is an "object expected" (javascript validation?) in what Visual Studio(2003) thinks is catalog/index.php:

<body marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" topmargin="0" bottommargin="0" leftmargin="0" rightmargin="0" onLoad="selectRowEffect(this, 0)">

Do I need an #include to resolve this?

The other issue is probably easy (and probably my fault). I get "htmlArea not defined" all over the place.

Can anyone please help with these?

Thank you.

A search on the error in this forum will get you the answer to your question. Just remove the onLoad="selectRowEffect(this, 0)" part.

For your second error, where exactly is "all over the place"

Specifics will help us help you.

Hi Michael,

The "all over the place" refers to anywhere I use the built in text editor - such as privacy_content or conditions_content, etc.

osCMax no longer user htmlarea, so that is probably the issue. It uses fckeditor now. Did you change the settings in the admin panel or is this a default install?

The only settings that matter anymore are:

Quote:
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS use WYSIWYG HTMLAREA?Disable
CUSTOMER EMAILS use WYSIWYG HTMLAREA? Disable
NEWSLETTER EMAILS use WYSIWYG HTMLAREA?Disable
DEFINE MAINPAGE use WYSIWYG HTMLAREA?Disable
The other options are no longer active. Just make sure they all say Enable instead of disable (the above options).

Default Re: Two Bugs/Issues???

Michael,
I found the answer (I think) to the mySQL 1406 issue. Google offered little help - lots of reports - no solutions. The answer was found in my Apache error logs. I had created my own CSS so as not to have to reapply changes to yours at upgrade time - the structure of my css was correct and I saved it in "\catalog\templates\CSS-fluid-1" but this caused a not found condition (which I'm also getting now on "coolmenu.css that is now somehow expected to be in /catalog/). I haven't figured out how to correct the coolmenu.css not found issue - any thoughts? - but I am now able to view product details - whew!!! Thanks for your patience - I'm a dba and familiar with MSSQL/vb/asp but this is all new to me - I'm back to being a newbie!!!

Default Re: Two Bugs/Issues???

It would have definitely helped if you had mentioned the not so minor point that you recoded the css structure. That would have been the first thing I had you change back.

There is no need to change it. Just create a new template dir, named whatever you want and copy everything from the original template dir to it, and modify at will. Then change the admin setting to use your new template directory.

If you have to revert back to the oirginal at any time, just grab it from the original aabox template dir. No recoding needed.
