Articles Problem - Unknown column 'a.authors_id' in 'on clause'

I've seen multiple posts on this issue, but none of the solutions match the 2.0 RC3 version I'm running.

Everything except Articles works beautifully with RC3, but I'm getting the error:

Unknown column 'a.authors_id' in 'on clause'

whenever I try to view/open/search any articles. At the moment I've disabled the module.

It seems to be related to a MySQL 5 issue according to some threads, some threads recomend changing the query (which doesn't match anything in RC3 so I don't know what to change), some threads recomend installing article manager 1.5 (on oscommerce), but that doesn't work with RC3 either.

Here's what I'm running:

Apache 1.3.37
MySQL 5.0.22
FreeBSD 6.1
osCMax 2.0 RC3

Any clues what to fix?

Ok.. here's some more info... since i was running a slightly outdated version of MySQL I decidede to update it... I'm now running 5.0.37, client & server.

No difference in the behaviour.

Make sure in MYSQL that authors table is present and correct.
Make sure you have at least ONE author entered/setup. (Even if you don't use this function.)

The authors table is present, I don't know if it's correct or not because I have nothing to compare it to (it was a fresh install).

I have one author setup, 3 categories and 1 article, and I still get the error even after resetting the cache.
