| I have been having the same problem outlined in this thread: Configuration File Error Using CuteFTP I was easily able to CHMOD my config files to 777. I even reset the admin/includes/config.php back to 644 using CuteFTP with no problem But for some reason every time I CHMOD the catalog/includes/configure.php file it automatically reverts back to 644 and I get the dreaded security error. I even tried downloading FileZilla. But again, it automatically resets to 644... |

| Contact your host and have them fix it for you. You may have an ownership problem on that file, and that will take admin/root access to change.

| Download file. Delete it off the server. MAKE SURE IT IS GONE! Re-upload file. Ownership changed/restored - chmod file to 444. Darn these WINDOWS servers.... Good Luck! |

| I tried the download/upload - no luck. But in reading other threads I went into the cPanel for my site and was able to CHMOD it successfuly there! |
