    Default Can't CHMOD configure.php back to 444

I have been having the same problem outlined in this thread:

    Configuration File Error

Using CuteFTP I was easily able to CHMOD my config files to 777. I even reset the admin/includes/config.php back to 644 using CuteFTP with no problem

But for some reason every time I CHMOD the catalog/includes/configure.php file it automatically reverts back to 644 and I get the dreaded security error.

I even tried downloading FileZilla. But again, it automatically resets to 644...

Contact your host and have them fix it for you. You may have an ownership problem on that file, and that will take admin/root access to change.

Download file. Delete it off the server. MAKE SURE IT IS GONE! Re-upload file. Ownership changed/restored - chmod file to 444. Darn these WINDOWS servers....

    Good Luck!

I tried the download/upload - no luck. But in reading other threads I went into the cPanel for my site and was able to CHMOD it successfuly there!
