Additional Weight when using Attributes

I have a minor problem. I some times that are rather small so in addition to selling them as singles, I used product attributes to build up six packs dozens things like that. It's is a little confusing but it works.
My problem is I have no way to adjust the weight of the item with the attribute. Any ideas or suggestions? I am trying to avoid duplicating so many products just to provide a discount on multiple purchases.

I don't know of a way to do this with shipping modules for attributes. There surely is a simpler way to do this though.

Maybe modify the Qty box on product pages mod to add 3 pre filled qty boxes with a add button next to them...

Not quite, but if I was desperate I could use Quantity Price Breaks Per Product. It would be less work to set up the multiple products. ( ea, 6, dz ) .
