Default Email problems

Hi, srry fi this is not the right place for this but there is no general forum for oscmax.

I have a client using oscmax that has been running fine for several months, with the exception of the paypal ipn issue where it does not reduce the stock level.

No mods for months, no anything for months, however suddenly, tonight, I am unable to get an email for a lost password request, nor is another client, however my wife can with her ac****.

Tried removing my account and creating a new one, still no email received, though oscmax says it was sent. Also no email sent from the send email option next to the users account?>

Anyone know what can cause this sort of issue?

Server router failure. Some where your email is stuck in some mail server cause a router failed (or line cut etc...) and has not found a redirect yet. I was watching a email problem like this and took 11 or 12 hours to get an email I sent (to myself at another service provider)... yet other people emailed me fine - to both emails just fine.

Some times it takes a day or two (if they get stuck on an issolated mail server) - but the emails do get though EVENTUALLY.

You would first have to check the mail server logs to see what the dialogue between yours and the receiving server is. If you are unsure about any of this, contact your host for assistance. Generally the mail logs are only available to server administrators.
