New Install

I have just loaded and installed osmax on my local pc with xampp.

On screen messages said all was ok but when I load localhost/catalog/index.html I receive message "It works" and if i ask localhost/catalog/index.php I get object not found.

If I then go into admin it asks me for e-mail address amd password even though I never set this up and therefore cannot get into the program at all.

Any ideas please.
