| Hi, I have a fully functional OSCMax 1.7 site, and want to upgrade to OSCMaxRC3, safely and without any inconveniences. What i did so far was to simply install a fresh OSCMax2RC3 into a separate folder inside the server(Linux), without any modifications whatsoever, the new installation is pointing to a fresh database, without any modifications, the old installation, is complete with configuration and products, I never done this before so I need some advise regarding a safe way to do it, of course I will back up both databases to my local hard disk, and modify the target here, but then I'm not sure if the resulting mofied target database can simply replace original's fresh OSCMax2RC3, or there will be some other issues concerned? Any guidance or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, |
