stock status issues

Can anyone help to resolve this?

I want the stock listing to remain visible even if it is completely out of stock.

So far no matter what I do, once the attribute stock reaches zero and there are no other sizes colors available the product completely dissappears.

Also, for some reason when I add stock through attribute, the status light doesn't go to green from red, i have to do that manually.

And finally, for some reason even though the stock is deducted, in one of the attribute sizes, the stock always remains as one, unless I manually delete it, even though it has deducted from the database and moved the product to invisible.

Any ideas?

okay i got this to work, but for some reason paypal IPN isn't reducing stock unless they click return to merchant.

I'm still having this issue and going mad..can someone please comment to fix this.. I've basically gone through everything I can find on this site and still no resolution.

I'll even throw in some cash to get some motivation from anyone out there who might know how to resolve this issue:
