Default forbidden access error on new pages in admin

Hello -
I installed the Salemaker contrib and for some reason. the pages will not dispaly in the admin section. I added a link to the file in the "Catalog" boxes section, but it does not display. I try to go directly to /admin/salemaker.php and I redirected to forbiden.php and get the error:
Access Denied

No Right Permission Access
Please contact your Web Administrator to request
more access or if you found any problem.

I checked permissions on the page, and they are correct (644). To see if something wonky was happening by adding new pages to the /admin/ dir itself, I copied my local copy of "admin/specials.php", renamed it to "Newspecials.php" and ftp'd it to the /admin/ directory. I then tried to access this page and I get the same error.

What gives? I can't figure out why I cannot add new pages to the admin directory without getting the Access Denied custom error page (forbiden.php - and why is that misspelled anyway???). Doesn't seem like this is a code issue with the contrib (it works on another osC site I manage with no problem).

Thanks for any clues anyone might have.

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean. Are you talking about the file permissions for salemaker.php on the server? Or is there some setting in the store's admin section I need to be aware of.

Thank you for your help.

In the store Admin, Member Groups, click Group button, select the group, and New Permission. Salemaker.php should be in that file list.

Good Luck!

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I followed your instructions, but that file (nor salemaker_info.php for that matter) show up in the list of files.

Is there some reason why they would not show up in the list? Something else that needs to be enabled or associated somewhere? They are on the server, in the /catalog/admin/ directory, with permissions set at 644.

Thanks again for shedding any light on this for me.

Ok, I figured this out - the instructions above from Kenlyle were somewhat incomplete (but thanks for pointing me in the right direction!)

Here's what I did to expose the pages in the admin section:

In the admin section - make the following selections:

from left column - --> Administrator -- > File Access

then from center column --> Catalog

then from the right column --> Store Files

You are then presented with a list of files in the middle section of the page, and on the right, a drop-down box of files that are not yet associated with the Catalog box.

From here, I selected the "Salemaker.php" and "Salemaker_info.php" files - and saved them so now they appear in the admin section, under the Catalog menu, and can be accessed/used.

I hope this is helpful to others.

Cheers.
