Default Placing categories box on page outside /catalog/ dir

Hi All -
Can anyone assist me with how I might do this? I'd like just the categories box (drawn using the coolmenu contrib) to be placed on pages outside of my catalog directory. How would I do this? I tried including the calls to coolmenu and application_top, but because of includes referenced within those files, got error messages.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Default RE: Placing categories box on page outside /catalog/ dir

Update - I switched to using Dynamenu instead of coolmenu. The mod is at: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4228/

Also, I found an easy mod that lets you place catalog boxes on pages outside of the catalog dir. I've implemented it and it's working great. I've now got the categories menu, manufacturers box and what's new boxes on pages outside the catalog dir. This mod is at:
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3080/ - it requires php 4.3 + to work.

Hope this helps anyone else looking for a similar solution.
