infoboxes appear behind coolmenu instead of below

Hi - I've got v2.0 RC2 installed and I'm using the coolmenu contrib. My problem is that any other infobox set to display in the left column (along with the categories box) shows up behind the coolmenu category box, instead of below it. As the category list grows, the other boxes should be pushed farther down the page - but this doesn't happen.

Am I missing something here? Some install or config instructions? I've searched the forums and haven't seen any other postings where people have had this problem.
