| Hi, After being with OSCMax 1.7 for a while I decided to upgrade to OsCMax 2 RC2. To avoid hassles I simply installed a new setup in a testing server, and proceed first, by installing catalog and the OSC Max Upgrade file, then I create a db and read the sql files, first OSCMax then the upgrade file, which are just three ALTER statements, well catalog default home page went fine, but the problem appear when I try to log into admin ... even with a fresh install like this, and using the default settings for login, it refuses access saying either the user or the password is wrong... I reviewed the admin table and the password inserted in that field is encrypted, so adding a new admin didn't work either ... Any clues? New update by using own OSC tep functions I managed to create a new user and password following the exact guidelines the system uses. Unfortunately I am still receiveing the same error, plus if try to ask for password forgotten it also displays the same error, wrong username etc ... it's a test server on a Win XP machine running Apache version : Apache/1.3.33 (Win32) PHP version : 5.0.4 MySQL version : 4.1.10a-nt - extension : mysqli What's really strange is everything was working fine before I applied the RC2 upgrade ... but as I reinstalled everything from scratch again, I found this fact kind of difficult to be the reason of this problem ... Thanks Rick |

| Fixed! The problem was it was calling the wrong database, the one specified in configure, was wrong, this error slipped from me because everything else was fine but the configure.php file even though it was properly connecting to mysql, it was calling the wrong database! I changed databases names and it was too late at night so the error was skipped and went unnoticed ... |
