Customer Account Registration Not Working

I am in the proccess of installing osCMax 2.0 RC2 and cannot create new customer accounts(I'm in the testing mode). After entering all of the required fields and selecting "Continue," the screen resets but the account apparently is not established. Subsequent attempts to login fails, email and passwords are not recognized.

Any help?

There is a problem with your installation - have you been able to reproduce this on a STOCK version of max? Have you applied all bug fixes?

what have you attempted to do in debug? have you put any echo statements in to see what is being passed to the database and verified that all the expeted fields are there and that you aren't missing data or sending data that shouldn't be sent?

Try echoing the SQL and then try entering the SQL via phpmyadmin or some other tool that will show you the exact SQL error being generated.

I traced the problem to a faulty installation. Reinstalled and everything appears to "function within normal parameters."
