Default configure.php error = potential security risk

Hi all,

I have the pink box on my shop front:

"shop/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file."

What settings? I have set it to everything I can think of, everytime I do, it resets itself too: 600

Any ideas?

chmod 644 or 444

If the file permissions are not changing, try using SSH to change them, or a different FTP client.

I can see it working but it keeps defaulting to 777... must be something with my host I think! (

Found it, it's 444 and I think the error was that I can only alter permissions via my File Manager in cPanel, I was trying it before with FileZilla which in the past has worked fine. just not with this host! lol..

Thanks anyway c.h.u.d
