Default Problem with sub-categories

When I have sub-categories within categories in my OscMax2 install, the page will not load when I click on a sub-category link. If I place a product in the root of the category along with the sub categories then the page loads and only shows that product. In the category box in the left column it does show the sub-categories and I am able to click on them to view the products within. If I remove the product from the root of the category (but leave in the sub categories) then the page will not load when I click on the sub category link.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the fix?

Thanks,

Default RE: Problem with sub-categories

By the way, I set up a category called Test. I placed two sub-categories within it. I did not have any products within Test or within the two sub-categories. When I clicked on the Test category the page would not load. Once I deleted the sub-categories, the page loaded and displayed the results page stating there are no products to display.

I actually solved my problem. I had made a change to the index.php page which affected the nested option of the index page.

Thanks anyways.
