Default authorize net ...accepts visa but AMex/discover giving error

I went live today with RC2 but it appears that authorize.net module isnt working properly.

I ran test transactions...visa runs smoothly but Amex and mastercard gives me following error
"credit card type you have chosen doesnt match the credit card # you have entered.....-------"

I need immediate help. Thanks very much.

Check the bugtracker:
http://bugtrack.oscmax.com/view.php?id=37

This should already be fixed in RC2... Perhaps we missed it. I will look at getting it corrected in the download if needed.

bump! OK, I had the same problem... visa works ok but others do not. So I installed the new cc_validation.php file and it stopped saying that the cc number doesn't match the blah blah blah. Now it goes through to the final confirmation page and says credit card declined. And of course my client is not so stoked. Please help me OSCMAX gurus!

Dubious, if it says the card is declined, it is working, as the decline is the response sent back to the cart from the processor. It is working, try a new card.

Thanks for your speedy response... you rock! But ii'm still stuck.

I tried 3 different mastercards. No luck. Visa, on the other hand, is still fine. I also had auth.net reissue my transaction key. Still, the same symptom. It Goes to confirmation page , then boots me back to Payment Information and says in red "Your credit card was declined ():"

And yes, auth.net is configured to take mastercard and amex.

Check inside authorizenet.com, in your unsettled transactions section and see what the decline code is...

OK, I went into my unsettled transactions and it says:

Transaction Status: Declined (AVS Mismatch. )

Hmmm I guess that means address verification, which is strange because I've definitely processed a visa with a different address than my own. Does it look up the whole address or the zip code?

allright! Its the address verification after all. Thanks for bearing with me. It would be nice if the error message talked about the address not matching the card.
