Default Upgrade instructions for 2.0-2.0 RC2??

Does anyone know where I can find a step by step upgrade doc for doing a 2.0 max - 2.0 RC2 upgrade?? I can't seem to find anything that is clear on the procedure and I don't want to lose the current config I have in place right now.

TIA.

Default RE: Upgrade instructions for 2.0-2.0 RC2??

Upgrade instructions are included in the upgrade patch download. Read the readme file. Very simple... so easy a caveman could do it...

Not really. That little conversion tool doesn't work for me. I get error messages trying to run it. Maybe you need a dedicated server. My server has shared hosting and each database is on a different host.

A while back, someone said you guys were going to come up with a 1.7 to 2.0 conversion script. Is there any timeline on that?

What conversion tool? There is no conversion tool. ???

I am talking about the instructions included in patch download. There is no conversion tool in that package (or any other download for that matter). You just have to read and follow the instructions included in the readme file.

eyeofhorus, please do not fork threads. This thread is about patching v2.0RC1 to 2.0RC2, not about upgrading 1.7 to 2.0. As I posted earlier, the complete patch instrcutions for Patching v2.0RC1 to 2.0RC2 are included in the patch download.

Open a new thread if you want to discuss different upgrade options, using mysqldiff or anything unrelated to this thread, otherwise stay on topic.
