Anyone willing to teach me how to upgrade from 1.7 to 2.0. If someone is I will write a complete tutorial so that it can be as easy for everyone else. Just like a walkthru.

I am not sure but any big gap in between versions is not a good idea.

You are looking at 1.7 and we recently have the new RC2 version.

My experience with the upgrades has been easier to start all over if you have such a big gap in versions.

I have one site that I was able to install a RC1 from 1.7 and it only took me about half a day to make sure that it was complete. I did have heavy mods but looks like the newer versions have a lot of fixes with RC2 being very stable.

Thats my opinion, others may have a better or different opini on

This could be very usefull. I want to upgrade from 1.7 but do not know where to start. If I could just copy over my catalogue & customers the rest I dont mind doing from scratch.
Its the catalogue & registered customers that I need to keep.

i dun even care about the customers I just need to learn how to install the old template and the catalog over. That is the most important. I will just give all my old customers $10 voucher for re-registering.
