Hello, I've just completed my first trial installation of osCMax. It all seems to work except that I don't get any images from the images/ folder appearing. Protection on images/ is 777 and the contained image files, 604. I tried changing them to 777 but that didn't make any difference. Is there anything else I can check? I didn't modify either config.php (catalog or admin) and I'm not a U**x whiz (Oops. Sorry. Didn't mean to let that slip out.) I can browse (with IE) to http://shop/ ... /catalog/images/ and get a directory listing but if I click on a file (OSCMAX_bg.gif) I get: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /catalog/images/OSCMAX_bg.gif on this server. Any suggestions please? regards, Kamenote-jin

Is there any other information that I can add to this query that will help me get some suggestions? I installed from oscmax_v2.zip. regards, Kamenote-jin

If it says no permission, the rights are just messed up, try this: chmod -R 777 catalog/ this will set all permissions on your shop, make sure to put them back when done. Now you can try if it works...

Thanks for the suggestion. I already tried setting the images directory permissions to 777 and all the files in it too. Didn't make any difference. I don't get any error message from the browser when I'm viewing the shop. Only when I set the address to the catalog/images/. I got a FTP type directory listing then. When I tried to open an individual file I got the permissions whinge. Actually it gets worse. I created a small a.html to display a.gif both in catalog. When I browse a.html it shows the text I put in there but a.gif doesn't load. I don't have this problem anywhere else at the ISP's server. I'm a bit stumped.

Solved! I had set up hot link protection for my domains and sub-domains at the ISP. I forgot to add the "shop" sub-domain to the list of allowed domains when I set up the "shop" sub-domain. Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa. Cheers, Kamenote-jin
