Default Products image missing popup image

I don't know if I'm being dense and missed something in the setup, or if this feature simply doesn't exist, but there doesn't seem to be any popups for my products image.

I don't want to use mopics, because this is for someone who wont know how to ftp.

The image doesn't seem to have any mouse-over or anything, only a thumbnail.

How do I get the popup image back?

--------

ok, after looking around my site, I see that in other pages, there is a popup. In reviews, for example. But, when I click on the image all I get is
Code:
Requested image was not found.
I am guessing this is a template issue?

---

Fingered it out myself.

The fix for me, as I am not using MoPics, was to to re-add the striped code to "product_info.tpl.php" to re-enable the popup. I grabbed this from the origonal BTS contribution.

Then replace "popup_image.php" with the original from OSC. This fixed the "Requested image was not found." through-out.

If you are using MoPics, replacing "popup_image.php" would screw it up, so you would have to edit that file.

Default A better fix...

All of this is unnecessary, and can be changed in the admin by simply removing the setting for the Big Images Directory in the Mopics setup of the admin. When you change this one setting, the entire image process behaves exactly like a non-mopics store, and no code hacking is needed.

I'm seeing the same behavior if I remove or modify the big image directory.

Thanks Michael, I like that fix.

But... this doesn't correct the image error in reviews(product_reviews.php).

Do you have a quick fix for that as well?

Also, the "buy now" button is mis-aligned.

That is a separate bug report in the bugtracker. There is just a little code missing from the reviews page. If you compare the product_info.php page and the reviews.php page you will see the code difference.

There should be a bugfix for this coming out soon (like early next week if you don't feel like doing it yourself).

OK, cool.

Thanks again for the tips.

PS: I added a small mod to "popup_image.php"

Line 57
Code:
$body_attributes = ' onload="resize();"  onblur="self.close()"';
the "onblur" so if you click outside of the image, it will close the image too, not just clicking the image. A small detail, but you may want to add it.
