DHTML Menus vs Default Menus Problem???

Sorry, I am a newbie to oscMax (and osCommerce for that matter, but oscMax seem MUCH better, so I am going to try my hand with this version)

My problem is this. I have a recently installed oscMax cart, and have just started loading items into it (more for learning and testing purposes right now than anything else). After I switched my "Enable Display a Dhtml menu" to DHTML and then to Cool Menus (to see what they looked like) when I switch back to default now the "Top" and "Catalog" doesn't work. Also when I go to the main catalog (in this case the root directory of http://www.by-tech.com ) it will not load the page at all unless I put it back to DHTML Menus or Cool Menus.

What am I doing wrong? I have tried looking around in the forums and documents but nobody else has seemed to experience this. So I thought that I would ask.

Also I am on a Linux 2.4.27-grsec, with Apache/1.3.33 as the HTML server, and PHP Version 4.3.10 installed. I have installed oscMax v 2.0 and I am using MySQL 4.0.22-standard for the database. It is a shared hosting environment. If there is anything I have left out, let me know I will try to answer it.
