Default New installation and Upgrade

Hello all,

I'm installing the new osCMax version. I have installed the old database successfully but now I see a problem.




After the instalaling the backup, this is the problem (one of the) I lost some things of the new version...

Can some one tell me how to solve it?

Ok, i see that I lost a lot of options... not just at the configuration but also at Administrator and all the rest.

Default RE: New installation and Upgrade

You cannot overwrite the osCMax 2 database with an old 1.7 database. You need to update the old 1.7 db to the v2 format than copy over the relevant details. It is not a simple overwrite process. I suggest you restore your db backup and start over.

This time, just update the structure for your 1.7 db to v2, then copy over the customer/order info and manually enter the configuration info again...

Can't I just update the products?

Can you tell me how to update the structure of 1.7 to v2?

Use MYSQLDIFF from www.mysqldiff.org (freeware) that can compare 2 mysql databases (or SQL "backup" files) and create a SQL commands to update the database from version of the database to the new...
