checkout stuff doesnt work

it just wont work.

i have enabled some payment methods, some shipping stuff, and when i go to check out, it even skips step 1 (shipping method) , goes straight to payment, and i cant select anything cuz there is only one option.


What can be wrong..

i have solved this, i noticed that OSC thought this product was virtual because it didnt have a weight.

i added weight to the product and now it shows shipping methods.

I posted this in response to Sander's PM to me, but it is worth it to re-post here. It points out how easy it is to find a solution to this and most other 'problems' by doing a simple search:

This has been solved about 1000 times by newbies over and over again. Had they bothered to do a search, they could have saved hours.

It has been widely talked about on the forums that any product that has a zero weight or blank weight will be considered a virtual product and shipping will be skipped.

This feature has only been standard in osCMax for the past 3 years. Granted, you are a new user, but had you done a quick search in the forums, say, using the term 'skip shipping', you would have seen about a dozen posts that answer this question specifically. Here are a few that I found with a simple search:

the oscmax2 forum has like 40 posts..nothin there...

how can i know i should search in 1.7 forums, i thought this was a 2.0 bug
