Session issue - Losing session data between checkout_process and checkout_payment

Hello everybody,

anybody has already met this bug ?
version OSCMax 2.02, personal developments

We don't know exactly why but as we are advancing in the order process, it seems like we are losing info regarding the session in between the following pages : checkout_process and checkout_payment. The payment variable (and only the payment variable) is lost and thus, the page goes back to checkout payment to choose the payment method. After 2/3 tries, the order works and the page redirection goes to checkout_success. We can't explain why the variable is lost. After many-many tests, we can't explain or find why the heck the payment method variable is lost. Moreover, this problem appears randomly. The ordering process sometimes works without any problem, and sometimes the checkout_process page keeps looping back to the checkout_payment page for 2 or 3 times.

Anybody has a clue to solve this issue we are working on now for days ?
The forum doesn't show up any similar bug...Weird...

If you are using v2.0.2 there a couple of security updates you really should install ... especially removing the filemanager and langauge manager.

We are also going to need to know which payment module you are using! Do you have an URL for us to try out on your live store?

thx for your advice regarding the security updates, we have done so a long time ago. As we have an OSCMax traduction in french, we have NOT simply upgraded our version to the last version as yours don't include a french translation. We have done the upgrades step by step.

Regarding our problem, you can check on Bullessence : Produits naturels, cosmétiques, bien-être et soins.
The payment modules are Systempay Cyberplus payment : https://systempay.cyberpluspaiement....ributions.html + Check/Money Order.
The bug is weird at it appears randomly : sometimes it loops back 3 times to validate the check payment (you can try using the check), sometimes it works immediately.

Any idea ? We've been looking for where the problem comes from for about 1 month, and nothing have been found. We're desperate. Hope you have any clue...

Hi there - I have done a couple of test orders on your system (test@test.com) but I can not replicate the issue. Is it a particular browser that the error is reported from? Do all your products have a weight and price? Regards,

I have seen the tests.
The errors have NOT been reported on a specific browser, it is cross platforms (but specifically tested on PC/Firefox). And I confirm that all products have weight and price. I repeat : the error happens randomly, even if the products are the same, from an order to the other.
Can you please test it once more to be sure that on the second try, you don't meet the bug ?

There is no such thing as "random" when using computers ... I will retest and see if I can repeat ... However, there must be something specific about the individual orders that causes the behaviour ... Is there a common product to the orders when it occurs ... anyway I will have another go soon. I know there is is no such thing as RANDOM when using computers... but hey, I haven't found the reason why it bugs so it seems to us like appearing randomly...
there is no specific product to use, all may be tested.
