    Default osCmax hardware requirements

I am thinking of using Bluehost for my site and they only offer basic OsC. They tell me I can install OSC Max if I can get them the requirements to make sure they are compatible. Anyone know how I can get this and does anyone see a potential problem?

    Thanks in advance!

Personally - if wanted to build an osCmax store I would use either michael_s (who built the software in the first place) hosting service at www.aabox.com or if you are based in the UK you could use one of the active forums members (ridex) offering at www.ejsolutions.co.uk.

You are much more likely to get a useful response if you run in to difficulties. Bluehost is $6.95 and they know nothing about osCmax ... Michael_s has one for $6.99 and he knows everything about osCmax ...

However, if you are dead set on this provider then simply ask them to load the installer - it will run all the checks it needs on the server. Should take them about 5 minutes ... In principal if it can run osCommerce then it should be able to run osCmax as they are built on the same platform. (osCmax does need a more upto date version of PHP ... but if they haven't got that then I would avoid them anyway!)

    Regards,

Thank you both for the posts, it is very much appreciated. It is good to know that my current provider works with OSC Max. I will also look into the one you suggest. Having a provider that knows OSC Max would be a great benefit.

    Sincerely,

    Paul
