no i didnt...i figured that had to be done somewhere but didnt know where.
the reason i wanted to do this is - the way my store was set up when you went to my store it would redirect to the url i wanted.
but when i submit to some search engines they said this redirection was bad for SEO and could cause my site to not be indexed.
but the way michael_s said to do it is working for me with no problems.
i thought his method was a redirect like i already had(the reason i tried the other way first)...thanks.
