[osCmax V2.0.25] Installed Fine Last night - Hooray! ... Today the White Screen of Death...Boo?

Installed V2.0.25 last night on my laptop - localhost Wamp2.1. (C:\wamp\www).

Everything fine, Catalog ran and able to access Admin. Turned on computer today typed in http://localhost/catalog and nothing but a white screen and the same for Admin.

Tried Wiki instruction regarding .htaccess.new but was not allowed to rename the file. I kept getting an error message saying I 'Must type a file name', did so repeatedly to no avail, the same message.

Am I doing something stupid here.... or is my machine making access decisions I don't know about?

Any assistance gratefully received.

Try http://localhost/catalog/

Note the trailing slash in the url. Also make sure the webserver and apache are running.

Since you are running it locally, check the apache error log for clues as to what the problem may be.

Michael, thanks for taking the time to reply. Problem solved and nothing to do with osCmax. It was a server conflict between Wamp and Skype, both try to use the same server port. If Skype is running first, it kills Wamp.

The solution.... either start Wamp first - a workround - or in Skype go to Tools, Advanced, Connection and uncheck the 'Use port 80' box, save and we are back to Hooray! I will post this separately under and more understandable title.
