Upgrading osCmax 2.0.2 to latest stable version

I would like to update my 2.0.2 site to the latest stable version, which I believe is 2.0.25. Is that correct?

I understand from other forum discussions that this involves an incremental update to 2.0.4 and then to 2.0.25. Can you tell me if this is correct?

If so, what are the steps to upgrade a 2.0.2 site to 2.0.4?

Then if understand correctly, I can then go by the wikidocs document to upgrade from 2.0.4 to 2.0.25. Is that also correct?

Personally, I find this sequence easier and less prone to bring over baggage/leftovers

1. build a new 2.0.25
2. import most of the database tables
3. import the template
4. redefine the shop settings, shipping and payment modules
5. generate thumbnails and product images (they're usually in the "wrong place" for Slimbox pop-up and of a bandwidth hungry/speed lowering single large size)
6. test new store

Basic functionality can be as quick as a few hours, though a couple of days is more expected.
All this with one BIG caveat - little or no customisation. Where complex (coding-wise) contributions have been added, then the risk is that they will not work. You'll probably need an original copy of the contribution, to reapply to the new store. However, in some cases they may not be required any more.

The BIG benefit - your original store remains live and untouched until you are ready to switch.
