Upgrading from osCMax 2.0.4 to 2.5.0

I'm looking to upgrade a site I have from version 2.0.4 to the new 2.5.0 version of osCMax. I am reading up in a few places on this site, but am not clear on exactly how to do this.

Can anyone provide some input or the proper instructions I should be looking at. It's not clear to me at this point. Is it necessary to upgrade to 2.0.15 or 2.0.25 first? I've been reading this page - http://wiki.oscdox.com/upgrades.

For production sites 2.0.25 would be a good place to be, prior to the upgrade. It will ease the transition to some extent and for a site with few added contributions, it is a quick process (typically 1-2 days).

Yes, we will be including an ugrade script in 2.5 for 2.0.25/2.0.35. The idea is to make it a simple process and encourage upgrading. Of course, if you have modified your store heavily, you will need to manually upgrade/merge structures, as there is no way to anticipate what you have changed.

The upgrade process will go something like this: Replace all your 2.0x files with the 2.5x files (keeping your customized template and being careful not to overwrite it if you did something silly like customize "fallback" instead of making a new template).

Run the update script and all changes to the database are imported leaving your existing data in place, but updating the data structures to 2.5 format and adding any missing tables/configuration settings. That is the basic idea.
