trying to install osCMax

Hi all. I'm a brand newbie to osCMax. I have been trying to get osCMax to install and have been following the instructions in the osCMax user manual. I have uploaded the zip file and then when I type www.mysite.com/install/ i get a 404 error. So I thought why not use Simple Scripts from my cPanel and install oscommerce and then upgrade it to osCMax. Well I have been bacl and forth through all the posts and am stuck in the middle and not sure what to do.

Any help or ideas would be great.

Easier to just install it from the osCmax installer.

Your installer will be here: mysite.com/catalog/install/
