| Re: Where is sql database stored? The location of the database will be determined by your host if on virtual hosting. If you have your own dedicated server of vps, it is usually stored locally (localhost or 127.0.0.1) as for the exact path to the database files, that depends on the flavor of linux and method of installing/compiling mysql. A common location for database storage is /var/lib/mysql/
