Default Default CC appears when turned off

Help!!!

the default (non encrypted) credit card payment method (the one built into OSCMax) appears even though it is disabled, my customers have to tick a box to use the correct payment method on the following screen........

Any ideas how else to get rid of it? and just use my correct payment method?

I should also add that it was working until last week! how is this turned on and off? I cant find anything in the database for it, is there a software switch in a file? which files provide this functionality? (so I can at least look in the right place to get them moving)

please try looking at www.inwoodmodels.com and try ordering something, you will see exactly what I mean when you go through to payment!

I should add that my correct default payment method is secure hosting, this works very well, its just the site asks for your card twice!!

What a hellish site! Went in to have a look and see if I could offer any help and brought my laptop to its' knees with processing the home page... quickly closed the tab. Page is far too wide, even on a widescreen laptop but can't comment on anything else due to coming out rapidly.

No flamin' wonder the site is crawling (and I'm on a good 8Mb broadband connection).
Over 9Mb for the Home page.
Looking at one random image: 5120px × 3840px (scaled to 300px × 225px)

Some serious Webmaster nagging/teaching required!

Trying to figure out which payment module that you're using - only one that springs to mind is:
Credit Card (Not For Production Use)
or
Credit card (Paybox) -new one on me.
or
Credit/Debit Card (via PayPal) aka PayPal IPN
or
SECPay

Default Re: Default CC appears when turned off

I looked at your site and that is not the default CC module showing in your checkout. The default CC module does not have CVV or the other options. Just cc#, NAME, EXPIRY DATE. Whatever module that is showing is not the CC default oscmax offline module.

Someone else having same problem at osCommerce forums ...

Checkout changed without notice - osCommerce Community Support Forums

Did it do this all on its own? Or has it always been like this?

I only ask as things don't happen by themselves and you need to be very careful with people's credit card information!

Regards,

it was working fine, then the payment box just appeared for no reason (with no change to code etc), I cannot find which module is actually being shown. I have looked through the configuration table, but cannot see anything obvious.

I would agree entirely with the resizing images bit, I have bent ears big time about this and I am hopeful that they will be resized very soon!!
