Default Is oscmax compatiable with oscommerce.

Hi,

I am new here and looked around a bit, I am not seeing where to find a manual on how to install with my other oscommerce software osCommerce, Open Source Online Shop E-Commerce Solutions that I have installed. I looked at the downloaded files and folders and it seems like the same set up. Can someone tell me where to find the instructions to do this or even if it is possible. Thanks for the help.

osCMax is a complete replacement for osCommerce, which has many contributions installed by default.

Default Re: Is oscmax compatiable with oscommerce.

Thanks for the reply ridexbuilder!!

What I need to know is on my oscommerce I have all the info that I added, categories, products etc. that I want to transfer to oscmax. I tried doing this thru myphpadmin and some went thru and some didn't, I really would hate to have to enter all that info again. Am I missing something? I have the old oscommerce database backed up if that helps. Also how do I add a profile picture?

Thanks

2. Also how do I add a profile picture?
1. Simplest way if osCommerce is still running is to install Easy Populate 2.76g-MS2 and export the complete CSV. Import the CSV to osCMax, then copy the photos over (preferably as thumbnails and big images - see MoPics documentation or my Enhanced Mopics documentation).
[Note: Some of us offer a transfer service, which caters for customers & orders etc. ]
The alternative is through either phpAdmin or a mySQL client but not really for the novice.

2. Click on your username and edit your profile.
