Order Conf page Warning: htmlspecialchars

I am deep into porting a complicated osc mod into oscmax.. I think I have it but when I go to test the checkout on the order Confirmation page I see this:

Warning: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/tuffenuf/public_html/includes/functions/general.php on line 48

If I click confirm oder it kicks me back to the payment page.. I only have 1 payment module installed right now.. money order..

This morning I reverted back to the out of the box oscmax 2.0.4 and the error is still there, so it is not related to the modification I was adding. Any help here?? I can't move forward if I can't place a test order!!

Further examination shows:
I think the problem lies somewhere within the address book.. in my own cart the address shows like:
Debbie US TESTING gmail
1843 main st
Ronk, New York 10009

in this cart it shows as
Debbie US TESTING gmail
1843 main st
Ronk,NY 10009

notice there is no space after the city name comma and the state is the abbriviated style not fully spelled out

Hi - i had exactly the same error - it was when using a test account and the address was just random letters and numbers. As soon as I altered it to a correct address it worked fine.
