Images not same size

Hello,
This is my first attempt at osCMax coming from ZenCart. I've tried to find a post about this but unable too.

I am building a site for someone else and having problems with images not showing the same size. I have taken two product images from the suppliers website, both are the same size when downloaded. When I upload them to the osCMax site, one is the correct size and proportion but the other comes out squatty looking. They are tall bottles and I can't figure out why some will show the correct proportion and some show the bottle as a squatty jar looking.

Like I said, the images are the same size when I download them from the suppliers site but when I upload them to the cart, something happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've used ZenCart for quite awhile, this is my first attempt at osCMax and so far it looks fantastic.

The images are not the same size. One is 140x180, the other is 180x142. In other words one is taller than wide, the other is wider than tall.

You are scaling them improperly. What you want to do is either size the originals to be identical, or in the admin panel, set one dimension only (either width or height) and leave the other dimension blank/unset.

That will allow them to be properly proportioned.

Oh, and as an aside how are you liking the easy templating?
