Default Admin has suddenly started kicking people out

    Hi Guys,

We have had a new OSCMax 2.0.2 running for about 1 week and it has been running fine when suddenly on Friday whenever you try to use the Create a new Account or Create a new Order in the admin area - the admin automatically kicks the admin user back to the login page, dispite the user being logged in ok.

Have also tried the same install on another server and same behaviour is happening so im assuming something in the code is knocking out the admin session.

Has anyone experience this before or have any tips to try?

    Thanks alot, Ken

    Ken,

I have just tested this admin functionality on my test store and the create account works fine - so it is not a source code problem.

You say that it happened suddenly on Friday - was this the first time you have tried to create a new account? Or have you successfully created them before using the admin function?

Can customers still create accounts through the catalog side? Try and test - worst case senario is that you may have to create users accounts through the catalog side (you can also log in as them and create an order for them if you wanted) whilst we try and help you work out what the problem is.

Have you changed anything in the admin section (in the code) not the data recently? When oscmax loses the session id it will default to the homepage (catalog side) and login (admin side).

Have you modified your store with contributions or is it a bare oscmax install? If it is bare - then we can start but reloading the php files for this section of admin.

Remember to back everything up before you start fiddling around though - that includes the database as well as the source code.

    Regards,
    pgmarshall
