    Default Image / Subcategories

A couple of questions here. Did a fresh install of osCMax for a client - all good - left the client to it - all good except the images on the frontend are not showing. I finally found that if I removed the Big Image directory and thumbs in the Dynamic MoPics section of the admin, then the images appeared on the site.

    1. Question is why does oscMax product admin just upload to the main images folder, yet moPics points to different folders. My client has NO idea of FTP and wouldn't know to remove the entries in the mopics section to make them appear.

    2. Subcategories - I have searched everywhere in the admin and I can't find where you can create sub categories. Might be staring at me but can't find it. Anyone know - hopefully not too hard as my client is not that computer savvy.

    Cheers

I think you need to do some reading...

    1. There's loads of posts that mention Mopics/Images - my 'Enhancement' makes it easier for non-FTP savvy users to add images. I'm not going into why, here, because there's information in the project.

    2. In Admin, click into an existing category (where you would put in products) and select new category instead. Very simple.

Without at least a modicum of knowledge on FTP, your client may well struggle. 2 methods that makes things easier...
    a) Install/setup Filezilla with bookmarks to specific areas of the site
    b) Use cPanel to allow access to Webdisk on a suitable directory eg. images.
