login panel - default login and password doesn't work

Hi all,

I have just installed oscmax2_RC3_0_3.
When I go into the admin page and tried
u:admin@localhost.com
p:admin
The page just refreshes and doesn't go anywhere.

What can I do to login to the admin panel????? Do I need to install something????

-Possibly something in configure.php is not correct. -Try Re-running the install script.
-The default ADMIN was deleted/not loaded. - Check in PHPMyAdmin that one record exist for the admin - change the email to whatever you want and blank out the "password" string - login with new email and no password - edit account to put a new password in.
-Server based re-write is turned on. Check .htaccess files.

More than likely this is a sessions issue if the admin page just refreshes. If you selected "file based session storage" during install, you need to create the sessions directory on your server and give it 777 permissions before you can login.

I recommend mysql based session storage for security reasons however, as any directory on your server with write access is asking for trouble...
