Site working Firefox / Opera but not IE7

Hi, have successfully setup the store on my local machine and it works in all browsers. I have now moved my site to a temporary location so the client can see the design, but its not working in IE. The site works fine in Firefox / Opera / Safari.

The problems are:
1) The CSS file is not being loaded in IE.
2) When you click on a category or any other link using IE the destination is not correct, it looks like this - http:///catalog/product_info.php

Obviously there's a setting issue somewhere, but why would it work in some browsers and not others.

Backup your site - Use the Install script to create proper configure.php files. ---TEST --- if Okay "---- Backup again --- then "restore" the original backup.

By Backup - I mean use osCMax's Admin->Tools-> Backup
