| Hi all, I am new to osCMax. I am trying this shop for the first time. I have used oscommerce 2.2. But from reading the available mods with osCMAX decided to try it. Now I am not a coder, but will follow instructions to a T. Here is the issue after doing a fresh install: I get this error Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/usr/local/mysql-5.0/data/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/t/e/c/tecosamcom/html/tecostore/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I went to check the config file in admin/include/config file and found that there is no data for my sql db there. I can manual place the info, but wondering if this is normal or did I do something wrong in the install? I thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. |

| How did you do the install? Did you put osCmax over osCommerce or did you do it from scratch? Did you use the install page? |

| Is it possible that you put in the wrg database server? I did that and received an error from mysql. I contacted my hosting company and found out it is supposed to be localhost. Kevin |

| Go into application_top.php and at the bottom of the file, find and change: define('WARN_CONFIG_WRITEABLE', 'true'); to define('WARN_CONFIG_WRITEABLE', 'false');
