Sometimes no tax or shipping in totals

Hi,

I am wondering what could be the causes that sometimes an order will come through with no tax and no shipping showing in total.

It is not at all times, just every now and then.

I checked the products and all is as it should be.

Happening to the same, or to different users...??

If that happened to a single user, it would be very weird. Like, you have a test account, make 10 purchases, and on some of those purchases you have no tax or shipping. I do not think that is what is happening...

If it is happening with different users/accounts... then you should see exactly what shipment information they are entering, but it sounds like you have not set up correctly your zones for shipping and taxes. I do not know how it works there in Australia, but if I setup shipping and taces here in Spain, and some purchases let's say from Australia, they will pay no taxes and no shipping on checkout, since I will not have configured their zones. That is probabyl what is happening to you, that someone is doing checkout from a zone you have not previously configured fopr shipping/taxes.

Yes that makes sense however our tax here called GST is for the whole country and 99% of buyers are from Oz.

It is really wierd and I must admit but it is not only one customer, it could be anyone.

Because it is so random I haven't been able to see if it happens to the same customer sometimes but not at other times.

I do have another problem which is also random and which is maybe connecetd.

When a new account is opened sometimes they cannot enter the State in because the country, Australia keeps popping in there.

Could this be related?

Getting wierder!! I went and looked again and there were no zones except Australia. No states!!

There certainly were before but for some reason not now. I know things don't normally just diosappear altho' that has happened before, however I think maybe someone I had doing some updates months ago, may have something to do with it, accidently I'm sure.

Anyway so far it looks like it may be okay but will watch it.
