I went and grabbed the new rc4 and it still has the register globals error. Did I grab the wrong one? This is where I got it. http://oscmax2.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

You can also try MileStone 2a update for osCMax RC3! if you having problems with SVN

These updates have been mostly committed to SVN and works with the Register Globals ON or OFF.

RC4/SVN is very stable now. Just in the wind of doing a bunch of updates to the contributions. Many are long over due. Very few NEW feature are being added - only ones that are included in the updates as well there are a small tweak or two we have done that is NOT available on OTHER sites.

If you WANT to help - download some of the updates posted in the "osCMax Release Test Team" forum. Report any issues you find - ether there on in the Bug Tracker.

Thanks and good luck!

Its strange to me, I had downloaded into my local pc and install, encounter two problems when try to access the admin directory.
1) Installation problem:
Appear in db table 'admin' of field 'admin_email_address' contains the value enter into 'Administrator Username' at installation. When goto admin/login.php, only need to enter admin username instead of admin email address at 'E-Mail Address' of login panel, then possible match can be made. For example enter 'admin' instead of 'admin@localhost.com' for 'E-Mail Address' at login panel.
Btw, during installation process, I can't find where to enter the admin email address. Fields for enter in installation page are 'Store Name', 'Store Owner Name', 'Store Owner E-Mail Address', 'Administrator Username', 'Administrator Password'.

2) After login with no error message, it still show (go back) login page again. The application_top.php seem like making it go back to login page.

Appreciate for anyone can enlighten me.

Cannot reproduce. RC4 works fine, so unless you provide more detail as to the exact username and password you are using, what versions of php, mysql, web server, etc, we are not going to be able to help you very much.
